The greatest gift that I can give to others is my love of creating. My entire career evolved around art. My career was in teaching art and now a jeweler. I began my journey with wire after taking a class in Viking Knit which is a tubular weave that originated with the Vikings. I've learned many wire weaving techniques from many great teachers such as Nicole Hanna, Kelly Jones, Noetic Effect, Lisa Pavelka and others that I practiced in order to become confident in my own style.
My husband and I do many craft shows. Checkout our show schedule on the menu bar. Also checkout my NEW online store. My chain necklaces and my one of a kind pieces have been listed.
Email me or call for any questions that you may have.
Our chain for our necklaces and bracelets are called Viking Knit. It is an ancient form of circular weave also known as Trichinopoly chain. The term chain is misleading because there are no separate links. The chain is formed with a length of successively looped wire resulting in a long tube, which is then stretched.
It's known as Viking Knit as it dates back to about the 7th century AD in the Scandinavian countries like Norway and Sweden.
It is labor intensive but the technique can give you a comforting rhythm akin to crafts like knitting or crocheting.
